All three derivatives of Mazda’s powerful and sporty MZR-CD 2.2 turbo-diesel engine are quieter-running at cold start with newly revised fuel-injection timing, revised EGR control and glow plugs to assist combustion. For the High and Mid-Power versions, engineers reduced the outlet diameter of the turbocharger’s turbine impeller from 41.5 mm to 36 mm, which reduces turbine inertia by 24 percent and increases torque. As a result, the High-Power version provides substantially improved sixth-gear acceleration from 80 to 120 km/h. The Mid-Power version now has 10 Nm more torque where it is most needed — in the 1,400-1,600 rpm range — for an exciting acceleration feel.

The Mazda 6 facelift Standard-Power diesel offers a great combination of lively power and low fuel consumption. To achieve this, torque was increased by reducing the outlet diameter of the turbocharger’s turbine impeller even further (from 41.5 mm to 32 mm), thereby reducing turbine inertia by approximately 51%, and by reducing the outer diameter of the compressor impeller itself from 57 mm to 47 mm, thereby increasing torque by 30 Nm in the 1,400 rpm to 2,400 rpm range.

This delivers high torque at low- and mid-range engine speeds, and great engine response. The Standard- Power version produces 95 kW/129 PS of maximum output at 3,500 rpm, and 340 Nm of maximum torque, while using only 5.2 litres of fuel per 100 km. The Standard-power derivative is not only efficient and frugal, but cleaner as well. It produces low amounts of CO 2 by using an optimised shape for the cavity in the crown of each piston. This makes the combustion chamber more efficient at using drawn-in air and reduces CO 2 by about 1.2 percent versus the original crown shape. Engineers also raised this version’s transmission gear ratios which, when combined with this engine’s quick response, delivers better acceleration feel while producing only 138 g/km of CO 2 (sedan/ hatchback).

At the top of the range, the Mazda 6 facelift offers an updated Sports Grade model – for all body styles. Special features unique to the Sports Grade include a larger brand symbol in the front grille with body coloured wing-shaped mouldings extending side ways, a new headlamp design that holds the newswivel – type adaptive front lighting system, wing-shaped position lamps, silver coating for the facelift’s new fog lamp bezels, rear combination lamps have clear inner lenses and LEDs. Bentley Continental Flying Star was launched in 2010 Geneva Motor Show last month. This new project is the transformation of a two-door coupe, requiring the modification of some of the external dimensions of the pillars of the car in reverse, including extended roof line, the larger part that covers the door closing, a new aluminum door, etc.

Since the basic mission was to create a body incorporating the essence of Touring elegance and harmony, only the section in front of the car’s A-pillar, including the windshield has been maintained. As the Jazz is one of the UK’s most celebrated models, the Si option will be available for all the Jazz model range – like the one which first went on sale in 2008. The Si is only available with a manual transmission.

Compared to its predecessor, the price of the Si grade is £870 over the 1.2 SE and 1.4 ES models, but offers extra equipment. The Jazz 1.2-liter Si is priced at £12,835 on-the-road and the Jazz 1.4-liter Si £13,510 on-the-road. The Jazz Si went on sale from 1 April, 2010. Both the 1.2 and 1.4 Si models launched with great PCP packages offering an APR of 5.9% over three years with a 25% deposit, or for 7.4% over three years with a 10 per cent deposit.

To commemorate the 20th anniversary, has launched its fourth anniversary edition of the Infiniti G37, the new edition of G constructed to differentiate from others on the Infiniti G series. 2010 BMW Z4 GT3

BMW Motorsport has officially launched the new BMW Z4 GT3 in early March and had completed the first test at the same unit. With a long hood, wheel arches are lit, the long wheelbase and narrow projection, Roadster BMW engineers were given a good basis for development which is close to GT3 racing car production. Based on a series concept, the front axle of the BMW Z4 GT3 is equipped with a tubular stabilizer bar with adjustable blades that comes as a completely new design. As with the series version of the BMW Z4, the rear axle is designed as a longitudinal link axle. Front and rear wings, bonnet, roof, fender and many other components are made of carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRP), making the GT3 1,200 kilograms lighter.

The fitting of the V8 engine had a considerable influence on the development of the BMW Z4 GT3. The largest difference between production and racing car, however, lies under the bonnet. The production version of the BMW Z4 is driven by a six-cylinder engine, while the GT3 is powered by a 4.0-liter eight-cylinder engine, which produces over 480 bhp.

Electronically, the GT3 engine management of is controlled by the modern ECU408, while the Power400 electronic control unit is responsible for controlling all the actuators. The power is transmitted through a six-speed, sequential gearbox with “Quick Shift” function. As with all cars in the BMW customer racing range, cost-efficiency was also the emphasis in the GT3 development. The BMW Z4 GT3 is available as a racing car and priced at 298,000 Euros (including VAT).

2010 TopCar Porsche Panamera Stingray

TopCar Porsche Panamera Stingray, which had marked his debut for Russia on April 2 at Dream Car Show 2010 in Moscow, is one of the last projects completed by further adjusting the Russian engineers Topco Company. This finely tuned Porsche Panamera has made a world debut at the Top Marques exhibition in Monaco on April 15.

TOPCAR’s customization on the Panamera covers the aerodynamic. In this section, TOPCAR engineers refined the front bumper, piston skirt, thresholds, the bonnet, and the back bumper with diffuser and additional antiwing. The result is the aerodynamic characteristics of the Stingray had came in a new geometry, the coefficient of frontal resistance had been decreased by 0,24. All components of the aerodynamic set are made from carboxylic fiber.

TOPCAR engineers had also installed a new exhaust system, decreased the minimal clearance, and tuned the engine to increase the Panamera’s power by 550 l.s. The Panamera had also been fitted with TOPCAR’s forged wheel discs R21. The Panamera’s interior had also been refined. Inside the Stingray, therefore, luxurious leather Nappa and decorative panels made of authentic carbon are ready to attract customers’ attention.

2011 Subaru Impreza WRX

Subaru of America, Inc. has introduced the new 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX models, available in 4 - and 5-door variants. Both five-door and four-door models now feature wide body design similar to the WRX STI, which underlines the high performance of both models. The new design of the Impreza WRX is based on a “wide and low” concept. The wider body designs give an approximately 1.5-inch increase in front and rear track. In front, the car feature sharpened bumper corners and wider, blacked-out fog lamp nacelles, and a jutting lip spoiler with three-dimensional detailing.

The newly designed front grille highlights the headlights’ shape, accentuated by larger grille and bumper intake openings. The wider fenders are stretched out on the side more than the tail lamps. Significantly, curb weight for the 2011 WRX models increases by just 33 pounds over the “original body” 2010 models. In the WRX interior, red stitching accents the exclusive carbon black checkered upholstery. With the new design, the 2011 WRX models present firmer rear subframe bushings and wider 17-inch wheels and tires deliver improved grip in the 2011 WRX. The standard wheels are now 17 x 8-inches vs. 17 x 7- inches in the 2010 model, and tire size is now 235/45R17 vs. 225/45R17.

The 2011 Impreza WRX uses the Continuous AWD version of Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. Both the WRX 4- and 5-door models are powered by a 265-hp turbocharged/intercooled 2.5-liter 4-cylinder. SUBARU-BOXER® engine teamed with a 5-speed manual transmission. This engine produces 244 lb.-ft. of peak torque at 4,000 rpm. The 2011 Impreza WRX 4- and 5-door models will arrive in Subaru dealerships this summer.

Audi A8 hybrid was introduced at the Geneva Motor Show 80 months ago. Audi A8 is a hybrid concept which combines gasoline direct injection technology with a turbocharger and valve lift Audi's AVS system, which regulates the valve lift in two stages. Four-cylinder technology has been named "Engine of the Year" five times since 2005. Audi A8 Hybrid is powered by two propulsion units of a 2.0 TFSI and an electric motor. The motor develops a total output of 180 kW (245 hp) of system power and 480 Nm (354.03 lb-ft) of torque, and as a result, the A8 hybrid can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds (62.14 mph). The A8’s top speed is 235 km/h (146.02 mph) with average fuel consumption 6.2 liters (37.94 US mpg) per 100 km and CO2 equivalent 144 grams per km (231.75 g/mile).
